Default slashing the cats!

i think my car has 6 cats...is it possible with a help of a off duty exhaust man to remove the first two cats and put straight pipes in their place and still do good in e-check? because the h-pipe and x-pipecatted only have 2 so..just wondering!

It is illegal to tamper with any emissions stuff and i dont think you will pass emissions. They aren't even worth doing all that work, the cats dont really rob too much. When you get an off road pipe most of the gains are coming from the increased 2.5 inch piping, not the removed cats.

get a catted hpipe or a catted xpipe. it makes a huge differece top end. if you dont care about emissions go offroad, and yes get the pipe with 2 1/2 inch piping.

I passed emissions easily with my catted Magnaflow X-pipe. Not to mention that the x-pipe with 2 high flow cats is a tremendous weight reduction from the stock mid-pipe with 6 cats. That damn thing was heavy!
