I just looked up in 2 different sources, both rate the '96-98 Cobra as running a 14.0 bone stock. My Bullitt ran 13.8 stock with good air, and 14.05 stock with horrible weather. The same publications rated the 2001 Bullitt as running a 14.1 stock, and the GT the same at 14.1.
Bone stock 96-98 Cobras were absolutely gutless, period. I test drove a '98 brand new, thinking about buying one back in '98, and walked away disgusted. "Absolutely gutless, pitiful excuse for a Mustang" I believe were the words I used back in the day.
