A couple of turbos on anything is going to make it fast... if it holds together. Your friend that likes the jap cars can put 10k worth of turbos in his ricer and be fast for a bit, but that thing will fly apart before long, and if you put 10k into a mustang... he gets smoked liked cheech and chong. Those bmw engines are very well made though, they use better technology than the American cars do, but they also cost a lot more, the krauts overengineer everything, but they do make a damn good car... think of it this way, they get a lot of power out of their engines, but they put more resources into it, when we mod our cars we are essentially making up that difference, and for less money. Torque is what really matters, if you've ever drive a car with a 426 hemi you'll be amazed at the simply ungodly amounts of raw yank they have even off idle.

That hunk of junk? Yeah, well I've made a few special modifications to that yellow 99 Gt, it makes the Kessel run in 12 parsecs and eats turbo japs and poops chevy's

Yea I agree that Euro cars are very well made cars, thats why they are pricy.
