I have a 2000 Saleen that as you can all read is not superchaged, im looking for some quick horsepower gain ideas besides the easiest way out getting a supercharger. Its a 4.6 sohc with long tube 4 to 1 headers no cat strait to flowmasters, underpullys, 78mm throttle body, cold air intake, and reprogramed for cold street.
First I would change to a smaller tb since you are n/a. Maybe like 70mm, 78mm could actually be hurting your hp. The most felt mod IMO (except power adder) is gears, maybe look into some 3.73 or 4.10 gears.

orrrr look into some nitrous. easy, safe (if you get a complete kit with the saftey standards), and verrry cheap considering how much power you get out of it.

Next summer looking to go with:
Bilstien shocks + struts, Lowering springs (brand still TBD (any suggestions?)), MM CC plates, front + rear sway bars, subframes, and upper and lower control arms.
Time to make the pony ride some rails
a kenne bell would be nice but at the same time it's going to put a pretty big hole in your pocket.
talk to grn 00 gt. he has some sort of saleen series blower. i'm sure you could find a decently priced one (used) and slap that on. and it would sure be nice to keep the authenticity of the saleen too.

The mods that should easily take a Saleen Series IV kit to 360 to 380 whp are as follows:
90mm LMAF
42# injectors
Cold air kit (mine is 4" diameter with a 9" long conical filter)
75mm T/B
2.8" upper pulley (9#)
112" Goodyear Gatorback belt (at least that is the 2000 GT length)
Mosaleen Custom idler (Mosaleen.com)
Kenne Bell Boost a Pump or larger fuel pump
Custom tune
Free flowing exhaust (Read: 2 1/2" dual cats or offroad x and 2 1/2" catback)
NGK BR7EF spark plugs gapped to 0.035" (2 steps colder than stock)
Chicane I/C upgrade
AFCO extreme dual pass or equivilent heat exchanger
Water wetter and some good cool ambient air
If you are worried about engine longevity, DON'T! Just keep the oil at the full mark, run with a good tune and run synthetic oil. I only use Mobil 1 5w30 in mine and have 117,3xx miles now and almost 40,000 has been with boost.
