ok so i just wanted to say, that my new to me 97 gt has a push button start and its pretty sweet. the components consist of the push button start button (which is small and black), the normal igniiton where u put the key, and an on off switch that powers pretty much everything. if its not on the car wont even turn over.
heres the run down on how it works: (to start the car) put key in, turn switch on, depress clutch, and push button till it starts.
to turn off: simply flick the power switch to the off position.
is so fun.
also, as a security feature, if the key is not in and you turn the switch on and try to start it it just fires then dies right away. pretty cool.

the guy i bought it from put it in. im sure i could get him to tell me about how it works and what you need. i must say though, its just fun to start it. makes me giggle everytime haha.

sounds like he stole the car, wrenched the ignition and needed a quick way to start it without hot wiring. haha, then sold it to you! wait you have the key. It sounds pretty cool, did he use it for drag racing or anything...

he only stripped it once. and it was a coujple weeks ago. said he ran a 14.14 on slicks. not bad for a starter for me.

yeah hey here they are. the one with the dash in the picture shows the push button. its small and black and round. the other pic shows the pedals and if you look at the right side of the lower part of the dash youll see the on off switch. its that simple. flick it on(with the key in), push the clutch in and press the button till it starts. its sweet and always fun
