I have a few questions here and would greatly appreciate and input. I have a 98 GT AOD.
Tranny seems to run pretty well. I may get a slip here and there, but hardly noticable.
I changed my transmission fluid about 3k miles ago and I think prior to that it had never been changed (car had aout 79k on it). I only dropped the pan and replaced the fluid.
Now when I check the fluid it is not a nice clear pink, but a darker red. Is this normal of our trannies?
Is it true that what I did (only dropping the pan) will not remove or properly flush all of the original fluid?
Also, I recently added Lucas Transmission conidtioner to the fluid. The directions specifically said to add the entire container and that it was ok to overfill the
tranny. Would an over filled
tranny cause color changes?
I'm lost.
