Default oil pan fins need help

OK i dropped my car off the jack and i bent the oil pan and the fins at the shallow part of the pan and i pounded it back out as good as i can and i was wandering what the fins are for and can i take them off cause i don't have the 200$ for a new pan please help I'm hurting bad for money and need a car to get a job its a 2001 gt i know what an idiot dropping the car i know i know but please help

well man the main things the fins are for, I believe anyways, are to dissipate heat and help the oil do its job better and last longer. just keep an eye on the temp gauge. for dd driving you should be fine. but track driving you might see a temp difference. but it should be ok.

Your talking about the inside of the pan right? The Fins are called Crank Scrapers. Take a pic so we can see how mangled they are? I have a stock pan off an 01 Cobra available.
