Default Spinning noise from Tranny. Also bad starts.

I got two problems. About every 5 times I start my 03 gt it struggles. I starts but its just a weak start it will turn a couple times 2 or 3 times then it starts. Then the other type it does is it will kick up first time but it goes to 500 then 1000 and......then it hits it target rpm. But like I said its like every other 5 times I start it. I ran some crappy 87 threw it and that was cause me other problems but I have corrected that. Maybe that cause my plugs to foul or maybe that and my fuel filter should be changed?

Alright the second thing is when I start my car I can here this spinning from my tranny. It seems like it is coming from where the tranny connects with the motor but I donno I haven't gotten into dept with it yet. Im in the military so I don't have the most time and I need my car everyday. Plus I don't know how to do much so I usually take it to a machanic. But besides that fact anyone have anything to get my started on this little project.

Thanks

Ok, for the first problem it sounds like you are having an issue with the iac, try cleaning it, that sometimes helps, if it does and doesn't last long get a new iac, but use oem ford for electronics, there is a major quality difference. I would change the fuel filter and check the plugs too, I'm of the opinion that 87 is one small step above cat piss. It costs $3 less a tank, just not worth it when you can get the better gas.

For the second, I'm assuming its a manual trans, in which case it sounds like the pilot bearing or the throwout bearing. If it does the noise with the clutch pedal released its the pilot, if when the pedal is depressed the throwout bearing. Adjusting the clutch cable may help, it gets tighter as the clutch wears and can cause the throwout bearing to touch the pressure plate all the time, there should be 1/8-1/4" between them when the pedal is released and should contact when the pedal is pressed. If its an automatic my best guess would be a problem with the converter.

Have that same problem... when my clutch is not pressed I hear that turning noise, like a bearing rolling around.. and when I press clutch it goes away.

Sounds like the pilot bearing, may be time to think about a clutch job.

Alright now that you say that about the bearings I went out to my car and listened to it. The noise doesn't change so I am very happy and relieved because my warrenty doesn't cover either of those bearings....Go figure. But anyways I was listen to it and I used to have a dirt bike and its making that noise like when my cain is loss. And also its coming from the front of the motor. Its only got 45k on it so how could my time chain assembly be messed up? But maybe that is it. I was woundering if you could give me some insite on that. Like what it sounds like if something like the plastic guilds are mess up or if it just needs to be tightened. Because the noise is really load when you first start it up you can hear it. But when under load like in gear going you can hear it maybe just a little bit. But very noticable when first starting up.
