NO, that's too heavy for the small oil passages in the engine, it'll do more harm than good. Go with 5w20 synthetic and a good filter. If you absolutely want to use a heavier oil maybe 5w30, but the stock weight is best, I live in south florida and its not quite as hot as where you are, but its close and that weight works great. Synthetics have a larger usable range than conventional, last longer, lubricate better, basically they do everything much much better. But like I said, the modular engine has small oil galleys and heavy oil can cause the top end to starve, not to mention the bearing in the bottom, these engines are built to much better tolerances than older ones, so it's best not to mess with oil weights.
