2001 Mustang Bullitt GT for $11K... what do you think?
What you guys think of a 2001 Bullitt GT with 20k miles for 11 grand? Is that a good price if it's in good condition? KBB says about 9 grand, NADA says about 14 grand clean retail.
Technically its not a Bullitt GT..just a Bullitt. Id say yea. Only 20k miles? Thats really good. Plus the Bullitts are nice...Better Intake, better brakes. Better Powerband. Id definatley go for it man.

i would have to agree with it being a steal. and if you could even get it 500 less then all the power to you. very good investment in my opinion.

Next summer looking to go with:
Bilstien shocks + struts, Lowering springs (brand still TBD (any suggestions?)), MM CC plates, front + rear sway bars, subframes, and upper and lower control arms.
Time to make the pony ride some rails
-any mods done to it?
-clean carfax? (worth the $20)
-hate to discriminate but what is the owner like? older mustang fan? young kid?
-condition? chips, scrapes, dings, interior etc
things that obviously help justify the price.

+1 ...I paid more than that for my 02 GT with 81k...I know ....I know... Im an idiot... Not to mention Ive dumped $ 2000 into it in the two months ive had it and it know has a knock/tick and a vibration that haunts me!!!!!!!!.....Im broke and this is my DD. WTF...I hate my life!!! But back to topic before I jump off my porch, I say this is a good deal and the bullits are sweet. But remember what Mello said, and get the history first and follow all precautionary measures. You do not want to be in the position I am in. I say GO FOR IT, but go in it thinking that what is to good to be true, probobly is...GOOD LUCK.and inspect that thing from top to bottom.

Lmfao that sucks man. I paid $13.5k for mine with 53k miles. After insterest rate and all that stuff its like $21k...wtf did I do wrong?
I agree with mello too. Altough, I feel if its a 2001 Bullitt with only 20k miles I bet it was an older guy who took good care of it. Like he said, get a carfax, see if theres any mods done. Good luck man, keep us posted

LOL.....I didnt want to tell you about the 23.99% interest and the extended warranty (thats worthless) and the gap insurance and the fact that the dealer closed down and the fact that I found my car was hit and has all kinds of overspray and a 1/4 gap difference between the seams in the hood, and my back rotors were warped and my #2 and #4 coil packs were bad and my front tire blew and my IAC was bad and It feels like my car is going to fall apart on the highway and I hear a click when I turn and my tranny jumps and bounces all over the place and I get a thump when I change gears and I feel this terrible vibration in the shifter-pedal-floorboard and my brakes were painted red but turned orange on a red car that looks like chit and the paint got all in the calipers and i have a constant squeak while driving and If I hit even the smallest bump I shoot in the other lane and I think I have a exhaust leak wich makes my motor sound like an OLD FORD TRUCK in low RPM's and now I have this tapping in my motor when its cold and.................this is all after spending $2000 and I forgot to mention.......my car smells like poop....and I have to drive it 150miles aday and I dont have the money to get it looked at or even have a mechanic that I can trust in my area....and now I am going to shut up because this isnt my thread............I think Im going to open up "The help little -razcal" fund on here.....LOL Donations excepted...PM me!!!
Yeah it's owned by middle aged folks, garaged during winters supposedly. They say it's in excellent condition, I'm gonna be traveling to check it out tomorrow. Thanks for all the advice, and just maybe I'll be able to join you guys in the 4.6L sections more often if this does happen hahaha. I still have yet to run a Carfax (don't have a subscription, i hate putting out credit card purchases on the net). All it has is a K&N air filter...the only way to clarify is to actually check it out.
If you post the serial #, which is located on the driver's side strut tower, I can probably find some info on it. If that sticker is unreadable, there's another one on the driver's side under the rear seat, more than likely right under the carpet.
Well guys, i ended up autochecking it yesterday and I checked it out today...
I bought it! It's a sweet ride, much more pep than my sixer. Glad I can finally join you guys on the 4.6L forums now hahaha. I can't stop smiling at it when I look at it, thanks for the advice. I'm happy I went for it
that's awesome! i see you're up in alaska though. make sure to either keep a cover on it when the weather gets bad or keep it garaged. you are going to want to take care of that one.
oh and im assuming that eventually the mod bug is going to hit you. only thing i recommend is that you keep all of your stock parts considering the bullitt has somewhat of a collectors variable to it.
