Just picked up a 1996 cobra with a c-4 and the tranes brake leaks bad. The seloinoid has a bracket that holds it in the case but there is only silicon sealant around it. Is there a grommet or o-ring that goes in there? any help would be great.

don't know why the hell they moved you here? c4 has nothing to do with 4.6s. yes it uses an o-ring, you can even put 2 to help.

My tranny doesnt have a place for an o-ring It had a bunch of gasket maker around it. Do you possibly have any pics. Thanks

What engine is in the car? Not that that would affect the solenoid, but there should be an o-ring and a relief for it, maybe in the flange of the solenoid, gasket maker by itself may not be up to the task of sealing that, or it may just be there wrong type of sealant or wrong torque on the bolts.

It has the 4.6 cobra engine with fordged internals stock cams with a vortech blower.
