Default it runs. but not for long. please any ideas?
ok so i just finnished the motor rebiuld and got it in the car took it out of the garadge got in turned the key boom it ran but for like 2 seconds so so nice, so clean. but it cuts out like not enoughf spark or i dont know i just put 275 275 580 cams with some 209lbs springs dont have any idea thats makes sence. so far i got maybe since i installed l/t headers maybe since i dont have the h pipe on thier isnt enoughf back pressure? not enoughf spark? maybe i have wiring wrong or somethin not hooked up right? and ideas any one come across this?

so you have raw exhaust exiting from the headers? must be loud. And it sounds like some kind of fuel or air issue to me. Because if the spark was the problem, i doubt it would turn over at all.

I would definitley check on the fuel. Sounds like it has enough to start but not enough to keep going.

ok i was wrong i just kicked it over again and i kep my foot in it i had it going at 2 (god yes so loud) but i had people runnion out tellin me to quit down once i dropped below 13 it cut out again.. but at 2 it ran so nice no poping no cutting out strait sweet idle

vacuum leak? when i did my engine it didn't want to idle and i was only pulling about 5 inches of vacuum, after i got my lines figured out the guage jumped up to 16 and it ran like a charm

no when i idle at 2 no check engine light but im not pullin oil pressure either im thinkin maybe a vacum leak might b right i have to hook up the pvc valve i dont have enoughf hose with the new valve covers. i dont know about the oil though i think i add'd to much walmart has 1 gallon jugs i thought it was 4 quarts so i add'd 1 gallon plus another quart i dont know if that would mess up oil presser or maybe all the oil is puttin to much pressure on the crank?? o ya a cop drove by sons of bee's called the cops on me

well the 4.6 takes 6qt of oil so it sounds like you got the right oil in i would check vacum leaks and is your fuel pressure good?
