subframe connectors are a great add on..maximum motorsports makes the best...from there, do the springs/shocks/struts

what does the jmod **** kit doo? isnt that wat the tuner does? change the shifting on a n auto?
The JMod firms up the shifts considerably and safely. The tuner firms them up by raising the line pressure inside the transmission, which is OK in moderation, but can lead to early transmission failure. The tuner does a great job changing the shift schedule though, that makes a big difference in itself. Combine the quicker, firmer shifts of the JMod with the updated shift schedule and converter lockup schedule in the tuner, and you've got the best of both worlds.

J-Mod is a shift kit, not a shifter. Go to TCCoA.com and there's instruction in the tech articles on how to do it. Probably $20 worth of parts, and whatever MERCON-V costs nowadays.
First, I would like to say that Ford is out of their mind. I brought it in for a once over from Ford, and after 378 dollars... here is what I am told:
I had the ECU reprogrammed and teh misfire went away (YAY!!!!!!)
the Cat is shot. pipes and all. They said that the cat from Ford was 3300 without labor. is it just me or is someone at Ford smoking crack??? That's more than a new engine!
Anyway, can someome explain to me what exactly the difference between a standard OEM and aftermarket will bring? the After market is about 5-600 online and I can get either an OEM new for 250-300 or go to a junk yard and get used parts for 1-200...
For the extra 400 over the used parts, what is the real advantage?
Also, that kit you were talking bout, with "firmer" shifts, what does "firmer" mean. Will they be FELT as in harsher, or what? I'd prefer to not mess with anything other than the cat-back exhaust (which I was thinking about doing to begin with).
haha wtf thats ridiculous for an OEM cat job.....i think they are smoking crack...and assume that you do also for thinking you'd pay for that, lol. . go and get a nice new mid pipe with high flow cats.....any time a stock part goes bad or breaks....it is a perfect excuse to go out and get an upgrade

and the aftermarket mid pipe with high flow cats will be much less restrictive, thus increasing exhaust flow. this will result in a significant power increase. you might as well go with the aftermarket part... not only is this a very popular mod, but this will give you a nice power increase and will give your car a better sound

my one concern is highway speed "drone" from altering the exhaust. It's going to be loud enough, considering its a convertible and not a coupe. So if I get the mid-pipe, which im guessing is the X-Pipe... would it make sense to not get new mufflers? That part of the xhaust is fine... and it wont pass inspection without mufflers, due to it being too loud (thanks NJ for being jackasses.)
