The way i read it, is if he took it to someone for the swap. If he can do it himself and the 8.8 looks good, then I would do it. Even for myself, i'd rather swap an entire 8.8 than to try a gear swap.
but if he has to take it somewhere, it's going to cost alot more for a 8.8 swap than a gear swap. Also if a gear swap costs over 300 bucks, i'll buy a 8.8 from a junk yard and practice on it. over 300 is rip off.
