2001 Mustang GT, 2003 Cobra Bumper Swap

I was lookin at buying a 03/04 cobra bumper and putting it on my 01 gt. I was wondering if i would have to change anything for it to fit on the car like hood or something? Is it possible just to put the bumper on and not change anything?

My friend did it to his 02 GT and he didn't have to do anything special with it. The frame and everything is pretty much the same between the V6, GT and Cobra. should bolt up just fine.

front or rear? i've heard of some people having trouble with the front bumper's "horns" rubbing against the hood on GT's.

+1 i have also herd that. supposedly the legitimate cobra front bumper "horns" are a bit taller, and the hoods are a bit shorter.

Now i think about it, I think he did say something about it rubbing. If so, i know he didn't care and still loved having that Cobra look.

Well what would i have to do to make it fit? Or would just have to buy the cobra hood to?

i would say buying the cobra hood would give the best natural fit if you have the money to spend (plus that hood is bad-a@#)...i'm sure someone here has made the bumper work with the GT hood tho, maybe they can chime in...good luck
