455 rwhp on 1998 Mustang gt without blower or nitrous?
mybe this trade will go threw....k looking at a mustang a 97 v6 totaly swapped out to a 98 gt i meen a really show car for all the work has new ford crate motor the guy can only tell me is he was the money supplier an father in law was the parts man he sent me a dyno sheet that does confirm everything bout his car vin color year is 97/98 17x11 wheels an it shows 455 rwhp...heres everything he can list that he know is done to the car---------
engine has a high performance racing crank and cam
new fuel rails
racing plugs and wires
new coil packs
aftermarket intake
Raven X pipe high flow Exhaust with turn downs over the wheels
no cats but i do have them if you want to put them on
new over-sized racing pistons and rings
Bored out also
been ported and polished
positive traction rear end
373 gear
new transmission only 6000 miles changed it over to the larger ford tyranny because we where going to put a 411 gear in it but didn't get to that yet.
Ford made two tyranny's for the mustang look it up if you don't know what i am talking about.
has been chipped
and tuned
new ecu
and all new wire harness throughout the car
short shift gear shifter
cobra r racing wheels
with 11in tires rear
stage 3 racing clutch
helix power tower
is this even possible says he paid over 2k for the heads to
If it's a 4.6 than hell no (to the 455RWHP), if it's a 5.0 I'll still say hell no, maybe if it was a 351 stroker than MAYBE I would give him the benefit of the doubt.

Yea that's not making much sense to me either. I mean its probably got some good power but that just seems a little too high for NPI 4.6 or even PI 4.6 sohc.

well like i said he dont know anything about it his father in law is pissed cuz hes getting rid of it an wont talk to him or help sell it so hes not talkin hes the 1 that supposed to know the build i meen i got a dyno sheet that matches the car with date an he has pics of it on there it says off getting dynoed an it dont have a blower or anything?wonder if the dyno shop will tell me anything like if it had a blower on it then or something? or maybe its got an aftermarket block ? it was 1 year ago since it was dynoed

Looking at what you have, I would take it to the dyno to confirm myself. I have a ton of money in my 96 4 valve, N/A and only puts down 418RWHP and 402RWTQ with custom ground cams, heads done by BOSS330 Racing's Al Pappito and the list goes on, Mike. SCT Tuner.
well i think its a pretty even trade either way im trading a 02 ford explorer forit
is there any way i can tell by looking underneath or anywhere on the block that tells me what kinda block it is like stock 98 v8 or if it was a stroker or anything any stock numbers i need to look for on the heads or??
I know how to work a dyno because my shop class in high school was lucky enough to have one and you can make them say any number you want by changing the permitters and tweaking the setting here and there.... we made a really crappy SOHC Civic may like extra 20hp (up to like 110fwhp).... now that sort of math its plausable it makes high 300 rear wheel hp which is a little more logical i suppose.

Either way if its a fun car to drive, i am certain you will have more fun driving it than an explorer.
try to get a pic of the engine and post it up.
