What's up!
I'm stoked...I've been waiting on Vortech to send my reprogrammed ECU back so I can test drive my car. While it was up on jack stands I also ordered some X-duty lower control arms from Maximum Motorsports. Both were dropped off today, and I had the car back together within a few hours after that. Time for a test fire...
First impression: The V1 is LOUD!!! I love it...no fuel/oil/coolant leaks or fire erupted from my engine compartment, so I was happy with that. I had plenty of time to go through everything while waiting the last few days for my parts before I fired it up.
Power is mild on the bottom end, it's still street friendly, and seems about the same as it did before the S/C when cruising through town. Of course now there's a constant whistle coming from under the hood while sitting at lights, which gets some odd looks from all the old ass people that live in this town.
Some guy pulled up next to me at a green light in a lowered, G'ed out Chevy pickup and wanted to go. I spun 'em thru first and second and ate his lunch. That was the first time I really opened it up with the S/C. Holy sh*t!!! There's no comparison to stock when you open it up and let her eat...How did I live without this thing?!!
After that I called it a night. There are too many cops out in the evenings here. S/C + Me + really loud pipes = tickets.
This is pretty much the best day of my life.
Thanks to all the people on here who shot me some advice about the install. It's worth every penny. I wish I had listened when I put 4.10s instead of 3.73's in the rear end. I'm gonna go through rear tires pretty fast if I don't watch it.
Um...still needs more power though...
I'm gonna add a link to a video. If you haven't heard a V1...it sounds like this...
Hey congratulations on the Vortech install! Very nice! I replied to your old post about the ECU location if you don't remember me... I just wanted to know what camera you used for the video. I want to upload high quality videos of my Mustangs to YouTube too!

Next summer looking to go with:
Bilstien shocks + struts, Lowering springs (brand still TBD (any suggestions?)), MM CC plates, front + rear sway bars, subframes, and upper and lower control arms.
Time to make the pony ride some rails

Hmmm...It says it's a Panasonic Lumix. model #DMC-FS3.
It takes good close up vids, but far away it's not the best. It takes pretty good pics either way.
I don't know how much it cost. My girlfriend bought it for me after I piledrived myself into the handlebars of a snowmobile and broke my original one, and I was still using it despite the screen being cracked. It worked, you just had no idea what you were taking a picture of until you downloaded them onto your computer.
I'll go to great lengths to save money for Mustang Mods.

and also i see you have 4.10 are you going to swap them?
Damn dude. I dunno. Like I said in my original post...I wish I had heeded the advice about not goin' with 4.10s.
I did the gears myself, ( first time rebuilding a rear diff ) so there's a lot of blood, sweat, tears and angst wrapped up in that rear end. I sure as hell ain't gonna pull 'em out again.
I'll probably stick with them.
Yeah, they peel out real easily and first gear lasts about half a second, but the acceleration when you're not spinning out is pretty sweet. Better tires would probably cure a lot of that. I'm not worried about top end speed. That's what my R1 is for...

I love my v3,let me know how much power your putting down
I need to get a boost pipe, more horsepower without heat is win
I've got the V3 as well, and couldn't be any happier. Installed it last Xmas. I'm putting down 364rwhp.
I have an Anderson Powerpipe and 3.33" pulley that I'll be throwing on soon, and will get a retune hopefully next week.
Sounds good man, with winter coming up you're going to have some fun
