Default o2 sensors and catalytic converters

i know this is kind of a stupid question from kind of a stupid person but if you unplug the front and rear o2 sensors or just the front or just the rear o2 sensor will it make the car louder or cause problems or anything?

i think the front sensors control the air/fuel ratio of the front cats
and the rear sensors control the effeciency of the rear cats.

also what about the pre cats before the 4 main cats. what purpose do they serve or do they do anything? and i know it's considered illegal but could i saw off the pre cats and gut the insides of the front and rear cats or just the rear cats? and will this give it a off road H pipe sound

cause i wan't my car to be louder and i don't care about drone and i don't have the money for different exhaust now.

just save time and get an offroad X. Then you will have your stock X for your state inspection

+1 Or just whack your mufflers out and not worry about throwin' codes by hacking up your x-pipe.
Unless you already did that. And then I'd wonder how loud you really want the car to be. I got rid of my mufflers and love it, but after a long drive I can't hear anything for a bit, and having a conversation in the car with a passenger is ridiculous. I'd recommend it for anyone who might be married. Loud pipes drown out the noises that are often produced by annoying women.

The front 02 are like the eyes of the car that tell the brain (ecu) what is going on. They control all of the fueling at part throttle. The maf controls WOT. NEVER unhook the front o2s unless you are running leaded gas on some high comp 14:1 race car.

Default o2 sensors and cat coverters

to sillyrabbitt, when me and dad bought the car last october 2008 it didn't have any mufflers so thats already been done, it's kind of loud when i crank it up but at idle sometimes with the windows up it's almost silent and when i'm in 4 gear over drive it's quiet. so i'm looking for something louder.

so how hard would it be to remove the rear cats and take the insides out of them and to remove the pre cats, also whats the purpose of the pre cats, what do they do.

also i noticed the other day when i was looking under the car where it had mufflers they replaced that with a filler pipe and welded it up, well it's got a minor leak there and it's leaking water or exhaust fumes, could this be causing bad gas mileage?
