Hey guys I am looking at an 01 Mustang Gt V-8, I have heard the V-6 are junk but have not heard anything on the V-8's any info... I am new to the Mustangs could use some help. Asking 5999 for the car with 120,000 miles but the car looks brand new in and out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

the 3.8 is not junk, it all depends how well taken care of it was. personally i wouldn't buy a used car with anything over 70k on the odometer.

i think the mileage is 2 high for that price.

i got my baby at 24k for $6500. had some body damage though.

The mileage is a little high but it's an '01 so I can see why the seller is trying to squeeze a few extra bucks out of it. How legit does the seller seem? Are there service records? Is the oil clean?

You can tell a lot about the car just by looking at it and if it looks clean, it probably is. With 120k I bet there's plenty of room to negotiate, though.

v6=crap the 4.6 is a very good engine no problems at all

The V6 isent a terrible engine. But the 4.6 is a much better engine imo. There are soo many reasons to get a GT over a V6 model. You wont regret it!
