I'm buying a set of 2003 chrome replicas but can't decide to go with the 17x9's with 275 40 r17 tires or 17x10.5's in the back. I had 275's on a previous mustang in the back and liked the look but i don't know if they were on 9 or 10in. rims. Would the rim width affect how wide they look even if both have 275's mounted? Also, are there many options for tires on a 10.5 in wheel? If anybody has pictures from the back i'd like to see them

I have stock 17 inch tires with 275s all around on my car. Do not put 275s on a 10.5" wheel im not sure they would even fit, go no lower then a 315 on a 10.5. 275 in front is fine i wouldnt go any bigger then that for the front though, it will look stupid.
Thanks for putting the pics up. Would you still get the 9in. wheels if you were buying them again or go larger? I'm leaning towards buying 10.5's but I want to run street tires, not drag radials as I will not be spending more than a day or two a year at the track but so far the Sumitumos are the only decently priced street tire I can find in 315. Do many people run street tires on their 10.5's or do most have drag radials?
The Sumi's will be just fine for what you want, now if you throw on a blower or some gears then you may want a stickier tire, but if you spinning then you are not breaking
My drag radials and my clutch didnt get along very well.

275s on the front may give you squirrely handling, I'd recommend nothing more than 255, for the back not an issue

Those Godspeed wheels are sick love that 5" lip on the rear. I think i'm pretty much set on the 10.5 03 cobras in the back. Just won a set of svt center caps off ebay that are 2.5 inches in diameter so they should fit..theoretically
I run 275's on the front on a 9" wheel, and have no handling problems whatsoever. They fit perfectly, and handle great. 315's on the back with 10.5" wheels.
