Question 1998 Mustang GT Suspension?

i have a 1998 mustang gt and i was wondering what would be some good all purpose everyday driving suspension parts to replace the stock worn out parts. cause it rides kinda rough. also the rear stabilizer bar / anti roll bar on the drivers side has a clean break in it , i think it can be welded but it looks like it might have already been welded once so it's probably time to buy a new one.

also where that rear sway bar / stabilizer bar broke its rubbing and rattling when i drive it and especially at slow speeds on a gravel driveway it drives me crazy.

Ford Racing M-5400-A - Ford Racing 1994-04 Mustang Handling Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com

here u go. this is a sweet setup for a VERY affordable price. Its not real radical, but a decent upgrade to the stocker stuff, even suitable for a weekend track racer. I planned on doing this before my wonderful tranny blowing up today.

this pretty much handles almost everything. except.... a good busing kit. American Muscle has one for $50 but I cant find it right now. That should tighten up the car really good and make ur ride SOOOO much better.

also think about your tires. not necessarily how much tread is left, but how old they are. a good set of tires can make a night and day difference in handling.

That kit and some full length subframe connectors will work nice.

yeah, those rear sway bars suck, I've broken 4 of them, now I just drive without it...upper and lower rear control arms are nice, that way you can toss the "quad shock" and get better 60 ft times...Maximum Motorsports sells the best stuff, check them out.

ok thanks ill check that one out when i have the money to do it.

but i ' m looking for a nice smooth ride but i don't really wan't to lower it.

i want it to have a nice muscle car look stance : lower in the front with the back end sitting up higher with some 17x10.5 wide rear tires with some chrome bullitt style wheels.

i might should invest in a air ride shock kit or some gas adjustable shocks .

i didnt know that about the quad shocks. Do those really go bad at all? and if they do what effects can we see on the launch?

but yeah sub frames would be a great addition also. and those are super affordable. well, can be anyways haha. depending on the shops near u, the installs can be pretty affordable. i had a quy quote me 200 for that entire kit.

if thats what your looking for, then id say go with that kit i posted. its not going to make ur ride STIFF as all hell or anything. just improve the handling. the components are not a drastic improvement over stock. just better overall. doesnt quite level it out, and when you do the 17x10.5's it will fill the wheel well better and give u exactly what your looking for. its hard not to do for the price and everything it includes

hey, 2manymustangs is there any problems without having a rear sway bar does it ride any better or worse? cause i think i ' m gonna remove it from mine also cause it rattles all the time especially at slow speeds on a gravel driveway.

if we had it welded it would probably just break again.
