Hey guys just wandering which would be better on an 01 GT Flowmasters or cherrybombs... and can any one tell me why a super 44 part number 942446 wont work... it calls for a

842448 or a 942448 I cant see or read where there is any difference.

No cherry bombs. They belong on pickups. Get Flows or a chambered design muffler like flows. Flows give that classic mustang sound that everyone comments on. I had cherry bombs on a CJ Jeep. Thats where they belong.

FlowMasters! First thing I did. There might be better ones but sure liked them.

ugh i hate cherry bombs they belong on a rusted out chevy truck and they sound like crap get the flows

Go with 40 series flows... they sound really good on stangs

mostly anything besides flowmaster or pypes violator = loud, raspy, popping, cheap, less power, obnoxious, and not to mention generally unacceptable.

Why do you guys hate glasspacks so much? I tossed some thrush on mine few months ago and it sounds beast. Didn't want to **** out 100+ per muffler probably not even. Maybe 130 per.

He only gave us the choice between the two. Of the two, the chambered style muffler is what screams mustang to me. When I hear it, like Pavlov's dog I think mustang and turn to look. Glasspack style mufflers do not remind me of mustangs. I think there is a 70's era pick up or Jeep nearby. The tone is not deep and mean sounding, it is raspy. It's all relative to whatever you like. Some folks like single chamber race mufflers dumping under the front seats. I was lucky enough to watch this whole 5.0 mustang thing blossum. While other companys come along with perhaps a better widget, for me the classic mustang mods done within days of getting a mustang are a K&N filter and Flowmaster mufflers. You can spend more and perhaps get better but you can never go wrong with those two mods. I also love Weld skinnies up front with fatties in the back but I guess those days are closing fast.
