i have heard that the spec stage 1 is the best all around and its rated for 420 hp sooo without a supercharger or tons of money you prolly wont be anywhere near that i made a link in another thread like this but i lost it now haha

well man depends what MONTH your car was built in. 99- mid 01 have an 8 bolt fly and clutch i believe. you can call a ford dealership and have your vin number ran to see if you have either the 6 or 8. thats the only way youll know. and remember to have your flywheel resurfaced or get a new one when he does the clutch. then youll know what clutch to get. it feels real nice

ya, but if the flywheel is 8 OR 6 bolt, shouldnt the clutch spline and mounting bolt pattern be the same, or are the flywheels different in diameter or something?? if anyone knows it would be really appreciated
also, can we get a quick breakdown of like which car has what?? like IE:
96-98GT~
99-00GT~
01-04GT~
05+ GT~
that would be good info for ALL of us to know!! flywheel diameters, clutch spline (im gonna assume all are 10-spline from factory) and 6 bolt or 8 bolt flywheels??
thanks in advance :

any idea what type of shops would sell the clutch ... since my engine is nearly almost in today the guy told me he would do the clutch for me free of no cost thats only if i do get the clutch in time for him to do it ... so american muscle is out of the question since i cant have it by today.

you must be super excited monkey im very happy you chose to fix that poor car of yours and glad your gettin a chance to do it all over the right way
now i know you posted that yesterday, but why didnt you have american muscle do an overnighter?? that way you would have at least had it today?? or plan this before when you started this thread lol?? but was your clutch BAD before, or you just wanted to replace it while it was out?? cuz if you cant get the disc in time then you SHOULD be perfectly fine with whatever was in the car before... i have the plain jane valeo clutch in my car and trust me, it grabs just fine, but when i put the bigger tires on it lol ill prolly end up needing a new one like a spec 1... but i also hammer the F(*&#$ outta my car and do a LOT of 4000+rpm launches lmao soooo ya
