2001 Bullitt Transmission/Oil Pan Heater Hey guys, I have a question on winter heaters. I'm pretty sure my vehicle (in the owner's manual) stated that it had a battery heater that can be plugged in, but nothing on oil pan or transmission heater. With brisk temperatures on the horizon, my car might be outside a little bit (i've got it garaged now, but i have to share it).
So do you guys think it's worth it to invest in a transmission heater? What about an oil pan heater? Temperatures around here can be from 20 F to -40 F (don't worry, anything past 20 below and I'm hitching rides). I barely drive my car in winter, but I drive it occasionally to/from work and school if it's warmer than 15 below outside. I'm getting an auto start soon, which means I would have the vehicle warmed up for about 10 minutes usually everytime before driving it.
