to race me at the track. ideally i want a 99-04 gt with intake and exhaust gt or full bolt on (with stock gears) 96-98 to meet with me at the track. this all stems from an argument i had (which you can see here http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...6-who-won.html ).. i also want to see if i can break into the 8's (in the 1/8th) with drag radials. i also wanna see what my 1/4 mile time is because i've only been to denton (but i'm willing to go back. we can meet at any of the tracks in dfw, it doesn't really matter. not looking to pick a big fight or anything, don't get me wrong. i'm just looking to spend a night at the track with a fellow stang owner, while proving a point to someone.

Well, I don't exactly meet your criteria with my Mark VIII engine, but I am close. What track were you thinking about? I am out in Kaufman, so the closest for me would be Dallas Raceway in crandall. It's a brand new 1/4 mile track

crandall is actually the closest 1/4 to me, believe it or not. i'm waiting on MAC to send me my long tubes back (they screwed up and sent me some misaligned ones). i'm thinking like over thanksgiving break i'll be ready.

I may be out of town, but I am not sure yet. Lemme know when you want to go. I have been curious to see what I run with the new engine on the GT tune.

dude do you really honestly think ur v6 can beat a gt even a stock one im talkin 99+ with all ur mods your claming 260hp well a gt will put down 250 with cai and exhaust and a hell of lot more tq than you im sorry man not try to rag on you but there aint no way
If you break into the 8's that will be impressive. My bolt on GT pre-tune ran 8.71@80 on cheap Kumho tires. I'd like to see what some drag slicks will do. I do not think you can outrun a GT but you never know...
I honestly don't think he will be able to beat me either. The motor I am running makes more power than a PI GT, but without a tune I am probably not using all of it. It would put me about in the HP range that he is looking for.
The motor is rated at 290HP/290FTlbs of torque. The headers I am running are the equivalent of shorties, so they MIGHT add 5HP if I am lucky. Without a tune though, I am probably running more like 270-275HP at the crank, which is close to what he is looking for.

About this new track at Crandall? Did I understand you correctly that it is a 1/4 mile track? If so what times are they open for Test and Tune and what are the entry fees? I'm in Bonham and I get tired of driving to the track in Ennis to run the 1/4 mile. All the tracks around here are 1/8 mile and I don't care for the short race.

Yeah, it's a 1/4 mile track, supposed to be the nicest in Texas. I haven't been up there personally, so I am not sure about the fees, but they usually run Test and Tune on Saturday and Sunday. They have something called fun and grudge, but I am not sure what that is. I am probably going to call them later on in the week to find out this info.
