the only way to "clean" out a catalytic converter is to hollow it out with a pipe...HIGHLY illegal, but it pretty much gives the same result as an off road h pipe...

the O2 sensors are like a 7/8 wrench or better yet an O2 sensor socket specifically designed with a groove for teh wires to go...un plug and un bolt i think all four sensors are only like 45 bucks each for the Bosch ones, if you do need to replace them MAKE SURE YOU GET THE OE ONES!!! do NOT get the universal fit ones as generally, they dont turn off your check engine light... and i dont understand what you mean by clean out the exhaust??

Default mustang exhaust cleaning

i read on this site somewhere about somebody cleaning there exhaust out, but maybe they were just kiddin, but maybe theres some sort of fliud i can run through the engine or maybe take the exhaust off after the headers and spray something down the pipes.

i already tried seafoam so maybe i can try it again or try some of the zmax purple stuff. and get some fuel injector cleaner. thanks.

My brother had a '99 Dodge pickup. The cats sh*t the bed on it, and were plugging up his exhaust. Since we were young and retarded back then, we drilled a hole in the bottom of the cat. Then we cut and bent a metal coathanger and attached it to a drill. We bent it in a way so that instead of a drill bit, we had coathanger wire coming out of the drill, and when you triggered the drill, it was like a helicopter with the wires spinning. This is hard to explain...sorry.
Anyways, we stuck the wires into the hole we drilled in the cat, and spun them with the drill to clean all the material out of the catalytic converter by breaking it up with our "helicopter" bit. This was an extremely LOUD process, but it worked. Then we found a bolt that would screw into the hole in the cat to plug it back up.

um...P.S. I am in no way responsible for anything bad that happens to anyone who reads this post and decides to try it.
