You need a torque wrench for the crank shaft pully dont use an impact on it unless you want to destroy your car. you can use impact on the alternator.

You may very well need an impact to get the crank pulley off of the car. They like to be stubborn and defiant. Whatever you do...Do NOT use the method I saw posted earlier on this forum about using a long breaker bar and cranking the engine over with the starter to break the bolt. That's effin' stupid.

Back on topic...You'll need a torque wrench to properly install the crank pulley. Rent one at Vato Zone, or just buy one if you're gonna work on your car more than a little bit, because they're pretty handy.

Oh yeah...as far as I know, you HAVE to use an impact on the alternator.
