I've been running SLP 1's and Magnaflow catted X for four years now. Here's a vid of mine a Canadian stanger friend did a few years ago. I'm behind the camera for the whole vid. My wife and daughter are the ones behind the wheel. They didn't get on it like I would have but you'll get the point. Disregard the musical license he takes in the first half.
I love my Magnaflows. Im running a catted Bassani X and Ford racing shorty headers with it and I get compliments all the time. Here is a short vid, I give a quick rev to about 3500rpm. (couldnt be too loud cuz of my neighbors)

You should get your motor looked at, there's a funny whistling sound coming from it.
Yeah we have been trying to figure that one out, it runs fine but it starts to scream really loud when you get on it too lol.
