My roommate back at Tyndall had a 96 Firebird auto, black with T tops, looked nice. Stock vs our other friends (at the time) new 2001 GT manual with drop in K&N filter and prochamber mid pipe. Off the line, they were right beside each other for about 2 seconds, and then the Firebird would slowly start to walk away and finally bet the GT by about 2 car lengths.
If you have full exhaust, you might be neck and neck or he might barely have the edge.
He use to beat my 95GT with some bolt on's, but once i went all out, it would smoke his Firebird (still stock) by 4-5 car lengths, and that's without the 125 shot it had.

If the lt1 camaro/ firebird is mainly stock, like me, then my win ratio is about 50/50 in the 1/8 mile... with me passing them right in time to trip those sensors first for a win. They are tough kills for sure... but the race, in my experience, is not as hopeless as the hp/tq numbers game may sudgest.
