ATI isn't really any help anymore. They only have a few different programs for their chips... Basically they have chips for a stock mass air, and a chip for a lighting mass air. No other modifications... There chips also run far too much timing. So if you ran their chip under full boost, you will blow the motor.

I asked them if they can make me a custom chip, and they won't do it. They said they don't do that.

Matt, I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with your chip but I am sure that once you get that thing dynotuned you should have no more problems On my GT with the Vortech I had the Steeda Tune which worked great for me and it never pinged so maybe you could check them out also. The cool thing about the Steeda Tune is that they reflash your computer instead of using a piggyback chip but I do not know if it would work with your setup. Also I don't know if you ever hangout on Stangnet.com or not but there is a guy on there named Tim "cobrakiller" and he owns a performance shop and he is the man when it comes to ATI and Vortech related stuff so I am sure if you gave him a call he could give you some ideas. Anyway just thought I would pass this on to you as I can imagine how hard it must be to drive that thing and not be able to get into it. Anyway guy good luck and keep us posted.

It seems find of screwed up Matt that they will only tune you a chip with that MAF. My tuner told me the stock Mustang MAF would do the job unless you were going with one of the racing Prochargers D1sc or F1 and above. Are you sure you want to waste anymore money with these guys?

They are the only one's near me that I can get a dyno tune at. Unless someone knows somewhere else I can go in the bay area... I'm dieing here. I can't get in to get a dyno tune till the 31st of January. I'm willing to drive about 100 miles from the bay area. I need someone that knows what the hell they are talking about. Any help would be awesome. Thanks Jeff, I'll see if I can contact that cobrakiller.

Kevin- I think it's ****** up too. Well it's too late now. I have the MAF, so there's nothing I can do. I just want this thing to work right and I'm happy.

Do you want me to call a get Mike Freeman's phone number for you? He could definitely help you over the phone. All the guy does is tune mod Mustangs, like I've said before. I'm sure he could even burn you a chip that would be damn close to a dyno tune without even seeing the car.

Your tuner should be tuning to your car not, you buying parts so he can tune it. I see MAF's sell on eBay sell all the time for decent money, if you lose $15-25 who cares? I wouldn't go to a tuner that say" You need this MAF or we can't tune it" That right there tells you that they have a lack of programming skills. I'm sure you got a buddy with a pick up, just toss it on a tow dolly and find a place that knows their $hit. I have Mike’s email if you want to email him too let me know. I have heard great things with the steeda tune as well. I have only heard of one problem and that was because someone changed a mod without getting a reflash.

Hey, try Vishnu Performance in Pleasanton. Their specialty is EVO's and WRX's, but they do a few LS1's and Mustangs. The guy tuned my buddy's Neon, came out great. They found 25 missing ponies. They're worth a shot.

Thanks for posting the digits.

On a side note, these guys supplied an EVO to Car and Driver's Super Tuner Challenge. I know they placed in the top 10, but can't remember exactly what place. I think it was 4th or 5th.

Did you try running the new chip with your stock MAF with a reset?

Mana, Take a deep breath & relax, refocus and be patient with talking to different people. This is your car and you need it done right. It WILL get taken care of,but just might not be as soon as you like . I would be pissed as hell too if it was me.

I really think it's shitty of ATI- PC to blow you off. They need to get involved and help you. It does'nt say much for the cust. serv. and product follow up. If I did that to my customer's I would surely lose them all.

I totally agree with what Jeff said about "TIM" the cobra killer. I've talked to him and he is a great guy. VERY customer satisfaction driven !!
He has been giving me great advice on a charger for my car and I will buy from him once I make my final decision.

I am in no means making light of your situation so don't take it that way,but sometime's you have to step back & regroup.

~Fall~
