From what i have heard....the ram air doesn't really do much for the Mach 1, like it only really helps at high end speed. You may want to look into bullitt intake.

Read down. Everyone says scientifically Ram Air doesn't work. I've had it, and did notice improved performance on cold days.

Here is a Mach 1 that has the only true ram air system that really works.

I don't know if there is any perf. gain's , if there is it's minimal at best.

BUT , The shaker is so damn cool !! Best looking hood set up IMO.
1.Classic Design Concept's sell's a kit that work's with exhisting hood.
2.KarKraft sell the orig. mach 1 part's and bracket's to fit the GT.All you have to do is order the mach 1 hood from a Ford dealer, paint and install.

If CAI works by cooling the air than ram air has to work, at least in cold weather. They are the same.

Ram air just doesn't work in the sense of forcing more air into the intake. The engine will only suck so much. Until the air is pressurized. Then your talking forced induction.

it helps but it isn't ram air anymore. it's cold air, the ram air "effect" is bullshit

It is basically just another form of cold air induction, unless your talking about this badboy here .This is the science they thought they could get but they forgot two important ingredients, a compressor and a pressurized system.
