granted its no 500 but its generally accepted that nitrous and high compression, boost and low compression.

However, head studs are definitely gonna be necessary plus one hell of a head gasket.

IN fact i don't think anybody has run a 500 shot on a 4.6

I think hensler has a 400 shot.
You would definitely need dished pistons. I know nitrous love high compression but shooting a 500 shot into already high compression engine would be catastrophic. I'm not sure of the formula but just an example would be shooting a 500 shot of N20 into a 8.5 to 1 compression engine would raise compression dramatically, so you can see where you might want to stat lower. I don't think a solid head gasket alone could hold it back. I think it would take some special decking work on your block and heads.

That the word I was looking for.

I don't think Hensler is shooting that much. I think he'd be laying down better numbers than high 9's

in any case, this is a pipe dream right?

you would definitely need o rings.

I know some people spraying big shots on 10 to 1 motors.

i wouldn't try it if it were me.

Well I wouldn't necessarily call it a pipe dream. I have two extra 4.6 blocks with 1 set of extra PI heads. I am retired and bored and get a decent retirement check so I wouldn't necessarily call it a pipe dream. I think I would rather do the project with a 4 cammer if I do it though. I may not reach 500 but if I take the project on, I will get an A for effort.
