Arrow Engine build?

If you guys were going to build a nitrous swallowing pig of a 4.6, how would you build it? What components? What compression?

Yes, lots of N02? I was hoping on squirting like a 500hp shot into about a 300hp N/A 4.6 at the flywheel. Which would give me somewhere around 600 to the blacktop. Just wondering what pistons design and compession I should shoot for.

I have a buddy that is really good with nitrous. He tunes just about everyones nitrous car that I know of. His name is John Kriner, He now works for summit. He's in the Edelbrock catalog in the water pump section. Really cool guy. I'll talk to him for you. What I really need to know is if you want this car to run off pump gas or not. Cause it's gonna be really hard putting a whole crap load of nitrous threw a car that you wanna run on the bottle on pump gas. Get me?

lol, i hope this is on a progressive controller. A 500 hit of spray would snap a couple of rods no problem.

id go with billet rods, CP flat top pistons, cobra crank,
bullit intake, um, i guess that would do it.

I don't think you could hook up without some kind of progressive controller no matter what suspension and meat you had on it.

You don't need a Cobra crank - the stock GT crank is good up to at least 550 hp, no problem. Pistons and rods are the issue.

lol, you don't think a 500 shot of juice is gonna make over 550hp.

dude, i really hope you don't plan to spray a 500 shot.

I really wouldn't trust a stock crank trying to push a 500 squirt into a 4.6. I think it would better to go with the cobra block, crank, some billet rods and some forged dished pistons. The flat tops wouldn't be a good idea because the NOS during combustion increase compession ration, so you would want to start off with a rather low compession ratio to begin with.

no sir, nitrous loves compression. I ran a 100 shot on my flat top motor.

granted its no 500 but its generally accepted that nitrous and high compression, boost and low compression.

However, head studs are definitely gonna be necessary plus one hell of a head gasket.

IN fact i don't think anybody has run a 500 shot on a 4.6

I think hensler has a 400 shot.
