Default Good news

I just got a call from the guy that I got the MAF from. He said two other people are having the same exact problem I am having... He called Pro-M. They told him that they add some sort of o-ring into the sensor of the MAF that can sometimes cause the connector not to connect fully. So, looks like I'm tearing things apart again tomorrow and seeing if this really is the problem. I was planning on doing a couple of tests tomorrow anyways. Hopefully it doesn't rain. Otherwise it's gonna be one wet day.

1.I thought you had the stock MAF on your car still (please refer to the last page of the "I'm so excited......" thread), so why would you have to take everything apart again if the Pro M is sitting on your dresser?

2. Y would you call Pro M about a MAF that has not been installed/currently installed????

3. If you are switching the 2 MAF's no wonder you are having a programming nightmare.

I am assuming the chip you have is burnt for the Pro M and you are currently attempting to use the stock meter, not a good situation.

Please explain.

Sarah

Your confused Sarah... The only way my car is driveable is with the stock MAF and the chip supplied by ATI out of the kit. I'm using another chip you guys sent me as a "tester" I guess you'd call it. I had a tuner reflash that chip with his program for the Univer MAF. Both your program and his program didn't work. He called me back with some more tests to do. He told me to change the MAF and run it without a chip to see if the car runs because the MAF is calibrated for 42 lb injectors the car should run. But I must do this N/A and not hook the S/C piping up. This will tell me if the MAF is bad. But we may just send it back anyways and have them test it to be sure. If the MAF is good, then there is a problem in the tune in the chip he gave me. I guess it's just more stuff for me to do.

Do you understand what I'm doing now? I know which chip goes with which MAF. I know what I'm doing... Anyways, if you mixed up the chips, the car won't even run. I tried just for the hell of it.
