Allright, I'm starting to see ads for new intake manifolds for our modular engines, specifically that reinhart (spelling??) racing one. I want to know if any of you had shelled out the dough to try one yet? They claim a 25hp gain on an otherwise stock GT? REALLY?!?! I'm just curious, because I don't like my plastic one and I want to prep the car appropriately for a SC in the future. Any info is appreciated. thanks for any replys.

I have heard very good things about the manifold from Reichart Racing and I believe the HP gains are correct cause I know with just adding the bullit intake manifold to my car I gained 17 rwhp.

There was already a post about this intake if you search it, k6vox did some testing on it and the Bullitt still came out on top. The Reichard Racing intake was better at the high end torque and the Bullitt was better at the low. I think that’s how he explained it. I just picked up a Bullitt, man you wouldn't believe how heavy the freaking thing is. It is beautiful though. I'd like to get it Extrude honed™ but I can't afford it. They want $750 to do it. They say a N/A picks up 25 HP I wonder what I blown one would get?

Before you buy one, check out Fox Lake's new P-51. He has dyno specs on his website - foxlakeracing.com. He's getting ready to put one in my 2000 in a couple of weeks. Actually, the car will be brought out for the first time at Bradenton with the new motor, Ron is building it. It's gong to be inthe next issue of Muscle Mustang...can't wait!
Fox lakes P 51 is a better choice but I would like to do my own testing as alot of Manufacturers Fluf some numbers.. The Reichard will use every device on the Stock configuration EGR, IAC and so on. The P51 you have to use Aftermarket fuel rails and the EGR tube has to be cut. Also the Bullit made better lowend to Mid range N/A'd but lost to the Reichard from 4000 on up...A point I would like to make about the Bullit..It is smog legal for 2001 and up Mustangs...The Reichard does look pretty Bitchin though.....
Oh ya one other thing is if you want to make the bullit really work hot then cut the post between the butterflys in the TB to manifold tube and have a Extrude Hone do their magic...Wow what a difference..
