Default Newbie Intro Question

Hey, Im new to the site and wanted to introduce myself. I currently own an 03 V6 mustang and will be trading it in for an 04 GT in about 3 months (tax money). My question is this; I made a mistake when I bought the V6 and got an automatic and the tranny eats up to much hp. I was wondering if this was the same way in a GT? Is there any significant power/acceleration differences between the auto/manual tranny in the new GT/s?

Thanks

Yes! The auto GT's are dogs compared to their 5 speed counterparts.

Definantly go with Manual unless you have plans for a low 12 sec car, or faster. When you get into REALLY fast cars, sometimes Autos can be better. But not unless you are wanted to do every bolt on there is plus a power adder

if its for a street car and you dont want to deal with building up a auto tranny get a stick. if its a "REALLY" fast car you want to build then i think an auto is better, but not a stock one. but lets be clear on some things just because some one has a manual does not automatically mean he has the faster car, a stick is very driver dependant, the driver has to know how to extract the power and speed out of that car, ive blown away plenty of sticks (with the stock tranny) simply because the other driver was, for lack of a better word a bad driver.
