1998 Mustang GT HorsePower and Torque

Taking it for a dyno run tomorrow. Stock specs have the 98 at 225HP and 290 ft lbs. Lets see who can guess the closest numbers it will come in at.

Car has BBK CAI, 75mm BBK throttle body, C&L Plenum, Diablo custom 93 octane perforance tune, Steeda Pulleys, Screamin Demon coil packs with Live Wires, PI Intake (without PI heads), MAC Offroad H pipe, Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, aluminum drive shaft, 3:73 gears?

Also wondering what it would do for me to add MAC Long Tune headers.

Why not just wait until tomorrow and see what it actually puts out, instead of having a bunch of internet mechanics guess?

There's such a large variance depending on what dyno you're on, and what type of number SAE vs. STD, that it's just that, a guess.

I'll say 270HP. Welcome man!! Don't mind Bullitt. He can be a cranky old fart.

You probably wouldn't like my guess...........

190ish stock.....

so you're probably making 215rwhp max SAE on a dynojet. Lower if you're on a Mustang dyno, or higher if they give you STD numbers.

So I was being nice........I keep going off advertised numbers of 225 and add from there. I forget that true RWHP is lower

But doesn't have anything that adds much horsepower besides the PI intake and midpipe. Given that NPI cars typically dyno around 190 stock (some don't even get close to that though, I'm being nice there), I think 225 is very reasonable for the mods.

I dont have a scanner, but will scan it in in tomorrow once I get to work. Best run came in at 223HP......THEN we made adjustments to the Diablo tune to push out another 10HP....233 in the end.
