Default Eibach Pro System Kit vs Pro System Kit Plus vs Brand X vs leaving stock ride height

Please....

Did a search and looked over the results, went to Tire Rack for reviews, Way too many choices and opinions for springs shocks and sway bars, caster/camber kits, bump steer, allignment etc., etc. Thought that those with the experience might be able to answer a few questions one more time, please:

1) Is the Pro System Kit Plus with the sway bars a worthwile purchase over the Pro System Kit without sway bars? Or...are the stock sway bars enough for a blanced system when combined with the springs and dampeners?
2) How much is the ride really degraded...MM&FF said that they thought that the ride actually improved over stock...which is it...rougher or smoother or just more controlled meant a better ride to MM&FF? I don't want to dislodge any internal organs with this mod.
3) Some say get CC plates some say that you don't need them if you drop 1 1/2" or less. Some say that you do. Eibach sells an allignment kit that looks like it consists of a bolt and a lock washer. Is this a waste of $28.00 ?
4) If I do need caster and camber plates I have heard that some do not clear the stock hood...namely Steeda adds said this....Is there anything to this statement. Is Hotchkiss a good choice for a caster camber kit?
5) Do I need rack bushings for a 1 1/2" drop?
6) Will I experience bump steer with a 1 1/2" drop?
&0 Does anyone know who makes Eibachs dampeners?

In general what are the trade offs for a lowered car. I am pretty interedsted in the Eibach Kits for uniformity and minimal brain damage for selection of parts and install and also the statement that there is little or no ride degrade regardless of the handling benefits.

You guys have always been great with accurate answers!!!!...Any help would be appreciated!!!!
Best Regards, TarPony

With the Eibach pro kit you don't need CC plates. My ride quality feels smoother to me. Really I don't have any isues with my car being lowered, I really like it.

I added CC plates just to be able to adjust but you dont need them. I would not use offset rack bushings, on my car they allowed the rack to roll to one side. I was on a road course and really laying into but the rack shifted and the offset ended up to one side instead of down. I like my new ride much better than stock. I would also invest in control arms before I put money into sway bars. Just my 2 cents good luck

Great information!!:thumbsup
Thanks for the help guys.
I think that I will look at some rear control arms as I had a feeling that the sways would not be that different over what is on there now.
That 1.5 inch drop should fill in the wells of the GT just fine....Then I'm finished, done, finito with mods...

For Now

How did the Eibach pro-system kit work for you? I am looking at this kit also for a '94 GT. Wondering how well it works on road courses. Car will be mostly street with some road courses thrown in. I found the kit for less than Tire Rack with free shipping at Drivewire. Total $621.47. I was going to order KYB AGX with Koni Sport Springs from Tire Rack, but with shipping it came up to be more than the Eiback kit from Drivewire. Anyone deal with Drivewire previously? Sorry for highjacking, but I seem to be doing the same thing and if I can save you some money....
Thanks
