If anyone with a 96-98 GT is interested I found this website today. http://www.allenengine.com/96must1.html This is for an Eaton M-90 Kit from Allen Superchargers. It comes with aluminum manifold and everything else. Seems a little more expensive than some centrifugal setups, but it does come with a new manifold which the centrifugals don't include. Hope this helps. samGT
That company and web page have been around since 96. It is the exact same supercharger as the Thunderbird SC used on the 3.8. They are not pushing it on that setup. 9 pounds is nothing for that SC. It is a very reliable supercharger and can easily put out 14 pounds. Back in 96, that was a pretty good setup. Until the 99+ came out and some othe parts.
It is a much better setup then the 100hp might indicate. And those superchargers will hold up to alot of boost and abuse. Another nice thing is the gain down low in the RPM's. Problem is, you are always into boost with that setup, making it harder on the engine if you push up to higher boost pounds.
Good link and info.

The AED unit is a good unit. Most at 9lbs see a 100+ rwhp and 80-100 rwtrq. Expensive, but as Glen pointed out it is a quality unit --- you can put some miles on the motor at lower boost.

The Eaton M90 is a low displacement supercharger, although reliable it is too small for the 4.6 or a 5.0 engine.
Pushing it using smaller pulley only heats the charge.
My brother tried one M90 but from Saleen into a 4.6 Crown Vic and he only got 320 RWHP even after a good dynotune session. He changed the M90 for a M112 (Same as the 03 Cobra) and he now sees around 380 RWHP with a conservative tunning.

I only know what the SC Thunderbirds are doing with that supercharger. It's amazing the boost and power they are pulling out of it. And the more serious SC Tbirds are running 3.8 stroked out to 4.2L and that is not to far off from a 4.6. Plus, the supercharger is inexpensive to rebuild and reliable. they have been around for a while.
Take it for what it is worth. Like anything you do to your car. It has it's place. Some people are not looking for all out horsepower on the high rpm range. Some are just looking for a reliable SC that put the power out in the lower rpm for more streetablity. It may not be good for everyone, but 100hp with full boost at 2000 rpm is nothing to laugh at. And it will outlast any Vortech. A vortech is a great Supercharger for many of us, but that would just depend on the use and preference.
Popular is not always where it is at. I give credit where credit is due.
Here is link to a thread on the Thunderbird Super Coupe Forums of Mustang 3.8L V6 putting down about 300HP at the crank with a stock bottom end, almost stock cams, a high boost M90 with home made intercooler. Not bad, I would say. LINK
