when i drive my 98 cobra on the highway, i can see my hood shake a little. im wondering if it is because i removed the plastic pieces that go in the snorkels and replaced them with a new piece of screening. i think maybe the air that is getting in there is causing the shaking. does anyone else's 96-98 cobra hood shake on the highway? its nothing major, but im anal about everything being correct on my cars. also, has anyone opened up the snorkels on the hood? im looking into doing this, id like to get some fresh cool air under the hood. i haven't even removed the underhood insulation yet, so i dont know what it looks like behind it. thanks peeps!

It makes sense that could cause the shaking. I wouldn't open the holes, what about when it rains? You don't want any unessesary water on all those wires under your hood. Maybe you could put the fake hood vents back on and put your sceen over them and see how that works.
I have the same hood and it doesnt do that. My 95 v-6 stang hood did that but i think it wasnt adjusted right was the problem. The screen theory seems correct, but i still wanna do this, just havent gotten to it. Id also like to open the hood all the way up. I dont think what little water would get in there would hurt anything. I spray my car's engine at the car wash and its fine and thats WAY lot more water directly hitting it. I think it would be ok, but altho the screen theory seems right, i dont think it would shake it that much since esp its not opened up all the way and the stock pieces do have some openings that let air in as well. I bet it just isnt adjusted all the way or the right way. I traded my 95 in before i fixed the problem but on my 98 GT it would bother me too. But the stock hood and cobra one are fine, i think the hood stop bumps or something isnt right.
