STI's run 13's 1/4 mile stock. Mustang GT's run 14's stock. Bigger engines matter, i dont care what people say, thats why the turbo charged 4 bagner is qual to the v8. Ive been to the races here in Ennis TX, and ive seen alot of Mustangs get blown by STI's. Not saying Mustangs are slow mana, I know your probably a good driver and no doubt your stang Freakin fast. I havent raced a Mustang GT yet with my S2000, but i know ill get blown away by a moded one. But agaist the AWD, Lightweight turbo charged, WRX STI, stock vs stock no way a GT will even touch it.

People he's blown, and he will beat an STI from a stop in the quarter-mile, and rape an STI from a roll. But if your stock or lightly modded then of course you will get beat by an STI from a stop...but from a roll that's a different matter. STI loses it's only advantage. And if your racing in rain, well Darwin will take care of you. I already have respect from an STI owner here on campus. He gave me the thumbs down when he first saw me, but he didn't hear the whistle from my car. Then when he heard that then he gave me respect because he knew i could beat him. So does all the other cars here on campus. Respect without even having to race them! :thumbsup

I have seen N/A GT's run in the high 12's with good traction, cams, headers, exhaust, intake, throttle body and a good tune. Nothing that can be done in a weekend and a few grand. Won't be long and Mana will be running 11's,
of course its not an import so he can only be given "respect", its not like anything but an import could actually go out and eat an import for lunch, I mean after all to beat an import you have to "get lucky" or have the other guy "blow a shift" or have his "boost turned down", we cant beat these imports, just admit it and have the junkyard come get these stangs, after all if its not import its gotta be junk.

Glen, with the supercharger I added 16 MPH to my 1/4 run.. Before I ran a best of 100 mph... Now I run 116 MPH. I just can't plant it. That's why I only ran 1.25 seconds faster.
A few years ago, 8 seconds would have been a WORLD RECORD for a production based vehicle.

I knew a girl with a CRX who was bragging about running 11 secs. Everyone was talking about how her car would kill GT's at that speed.
So I looked at her car, and asked her, "How can that thing run a quarter-mile in 11 secs?!" then she said that it was an 1/8 mile.
So I said, "Geez I could take your car in my six!"
and she looked at me and said, "those sixes are no joke, they're quick!"
1/8 mile tracks are all over the place and people think the times people report are 1/4 mile times.
