I'm not so sure of that......really no one can even answer the question unless you know the mods on both vehicles. Both cars can very greatly on mods.
A mild sti vs. a 480whp cobra? Either the sti has a lot more mods then "mild" or the Cobra driver can't drive his car. Mod'd sti's or what I would call "mild" run 12's. Rarely will one ever run 11's. A 480whp Cobra should run deep 11's with traction and a reasonable driver.
Sti's are highly over rated and fall into the Urban Legend catagory from my experience on the street with them.

I mised a shift racing a STI and still smoked him. Yes he had mods and I just a Borla & K&N FIPK but after about 90 it wasnt even close. Yess I missed the shift b/c the 04 Cobra shifts sucks (upgrade coming just dont know which one yet?any ideas suggestions) but I made up for it. You should have seen his face when I blew bye him. We stopped on the side after he could not believe how fast my car was and that I still kicked his butt
