MBH make sure to throw some drag radials on there. A stouter gear means a lot more probablility of spin at even lower rpms. I put 4.10's in mine and all I did was spin out in the hole. Threw some solid upper and lower control arms on along with some Nitto drag radials...and took 4/10's off of my time. Thats a fact.

Thanks. What does your car run anyways? I got Ford racing uppers not that they prolly do much. I am hoping since i got an auto spinning wont be much a problem. I did alot til last time i went to the track and i let some air out and i got a lil better 60fts. Also i wanna try not mashing the gas all the way down next time and just hlafway or so. I cant wait to get them on and try. How much do those tires run?? Problem is i heard they suck in the rain and such, not that my car is a daily driver but it could be one day again. I just sold my old gt rims that i could have mounted some extra ones on.I wont be able to afford those tires and gear install at once but maybe for the end of the season i can.

Last time I ran it was in the summer and only got a 14.2. That said I also have a small backfire problem and it is running rich for some reason. It runs like crap and should be running a 14 flat at least. I do however have the cure for my problems as I am gettin some new ignition components (plugs, 9mm wires, coil packs, and tune) that should cure most of my problems. The backfire still worries me as I think I have a weak valve spring.
I ran Nittos which cost me around 350 (mounted) for the pair. Then I picked up some BFG drag radials off a guy for 250. I got a good deal on those. They had about a hundred miles and no burn-outs on em. Nittos work great though and are probably a little cheaper. I never had trouble with my car in the rain...at least no more trouble than one would expect with a 5 spd GT running 4.10 gears. I never had issues with driving on wet pavement..but then again I drive semi-responsibly. I run my drag radials as daily driver tires...but I dont really drive my car daily either. I have a company car.
