Default storing the car for winter..

storing the car for winter..

it's getting cold out, today it was 12 degrees. no snow yet, which is good, so i drove the stang. for some reason, that i have never noticed before in warm weather, the traction control kicks on alot more thatn ever. the ground is dry though. any thoughts on that?

i have a cold air intake, is the air too cold?

any other suggestions on things to do before i finally park the beast for the winter lol?

1. Change the oil and filter
2. Clean the interior
3. Fill the tank
4. Add Stabil
5. Make sure your coolant is up-to-snuff, if not, change it so it won't freeze
6. Add some moth balls to the interior, trunk, and engine bay
7. If a rag top, raise the top
8. Roll up all windows, and cover with a nice (not cheap) cover
9. Remove the battery to a warm, dry place
10.Visit once/month with a charged battery & run 'til operating temperature

Your tires are cold! The rubber hardens more than normal and therefore can't grab the road as well. I'm in KC where we've had a straight week of 10 degree days. I get it all the time, you just need to drive it about 30 minutes and then you have no problem.

Also the cold air is giving your engine a little more torque if I'm not mistaken.
