Unhappy Something worth checking

I just removed my rear axel to upgrade, so while I was under there I started checking around. I planned on welding up my torque boxes while it was out. I couldn't beleive how much damage there was.The right torque box was a mess , one piece had pulled away about 5/8" and broke all the spot welds and the sides where twisted. Left side wasn't as bad, took me about four hours to beat it all back and weld up. Now I'm going one step farther and adding the UMI kits for uppers and lowers. My car has about 12000 mile and maybe about 40 passes on the 1/4, I have aftermarket uppers and lowers and launch on drag radials, also have a bag in right rear spring. Needless to say I was bummed, couldn't beleive how bad it was. Anyway thought I pass it along, something you might want to check out if your launching your car alot. Cant imagine if I'd done my poweradded first

Did you notice any better traction or less wheel hop when you got it all fixed?

Wont know till april, thats the downside to living near Buffalo NY, oh wait there is no upside. I'm not sure if I'll notice with all the changes I've made. I'm switching to tubelar K, new gears and axels, convo pros up front, Dynabatt ect. It should just be a ton better, but with all this traction I gotta start making power.

I was launching with almost no spin and only a little 2nd gear chirp, but you could tell it was leaving hard.

Th QA1 is great! I just got mine installed, and yes we had to grind the stock arms quite a bit (mines a 98gt) so they fit right. I didn't want Coilovers for the street. I got mine at Summit too....way better price than 600$ at Brothers Performance.......the more expensive one allows you to use their arms without having to do coilovers.
