Default How do I change the gas and dead pedals?

Hey guys,
I know this sounds dumb but is there any trick to changing the pedals. I bought the shiny aluminum pedals from ford racing. I had no problem changing the clutch and brake pedals, but I cant get under the steering wheel far enought to see how the gas pedal and dead pedal are connected. And I dont wanna just start pulling on them and break someting. can anyone describe how to remove these safeley. Thanks in advance,
Kurt

if i remember correctly, its just a cotter pin. (like a women's "bobbie pin") pull it out and slide the pin out.

Mine had a splined pin and is was a pain to get out, I ended up bending my arm a little and it din't fit back in real good. I used a small nut and bolt and haven't had a problem since.

The easiest way is to unbolt the two nuts on the fire wall that hold the pedal arm. Then just flip the arm over and take a set of pliers and pry the pin out. But be carefull not to tear the throttle wire. You can also remove the throttle wire if you think it will be easier but there is really no need. Let me know if this helped you.
