Was this guy the manager? If not, did you say something to the manager? Unless you complain to management, I doubt that they will honor any damage claims that you might lodge in the next couple of weeks.
Pitching a fit, and accepting the work....driving off pissed, but paid in full will only cost
you if you later find damage.
Calmly talking to the manager, and insisting that the tech be replaced by someone competent to complete the task on your vehicle was the better way to handle the situation. Reminding the manager that the SAFEST way to lift your vehicle was
clearly not the approach his mechanic was using. Betcha they never read your owner's manual, or any other safety warning posted around the shop.
Then, find yourself another garage, as certainly these folks will be causing damage to someone's car in the very near future. You'll not want to be there when the mechanic is crushed under a '93 Buick Skylark.
