I would appreciate any information on how to re-program my 1996 Mustang's keyless remote as I bought it used and it only had one key and one remote. Thank you MartinG218@Verizon.Net
Yes, I need help! My son lost my extra key and remote. I bought new ones from ebay, and had the key cut. I tried to reprogram the new extra key but in the process I turned on the anti theft -PATS. Now my 98 GT won't start at all. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Mike
I bought a new remote from the DEALER and they were clueless. I was turn the car off and on 8 times in rapid succession...didnt work and from the responses seen on other posts, that is only for 98 and up. Any help is much appreciated. tCosban@hotmail.com
Do you need help programing keyless entry remotes? Contact me and I will help you if i can depending on the year of the Ford.
Well, I have a quick question. When I bought my beauty, I used to press the LOCK button on the remote once and it locked the doors. If I pressed it a second time, the horn would briefly go off "TWICE". Like a short beep-beep. Now, I press it once and it locks the door like usual, but when I press it a second time, it only beeps once.
I thought it would be the battery on the remote, but I replaced it and it's still beeping only once after I lock it. Randomly, it beeps twice, like if I have the driver's door open and press LOCK twice, then it locks the door and beeps twice. Stays like that for a little while and then back to beeping once. Any ideas or suggestions?
Also, I wanna get a remote with trunk release and possible remote start. What's the retail price on that kind of equipment?
get in shut the door make sure there unlocked put the remote in the car or remotes, turn on and off 8 times real fast the doors will lock hit unlock on the transmitter

Buddie, I can tell you... everybody has a different way of doing it. Some say press UNLOCK and LOCK on the remote for like 14 seconds or so. Others will say get out of the car, pick your nose, do a couple of cartwheels, pray to GOD a little and then jump in the car and press LOCK.
I don't know if you posted this generally, but either way it is very appreciated. I really would love to know the reason why my car stopped beeping the horn twice after I press LOCK. It should beep twice like it always did. I thought it was because of the door sensor mechanism. When the driver side door is open, it always beep twice after you press LOCK a couple of times on the remote. When it's closed, the horn only goes off once with a short beep. The rearview mirror lights would constantly stay ON too, they are suppose to go off when you press the button but they only seem to blink when I press it. I disconnected the power cable in the back while I figure what's causing this.
Anyways, thank you... I think I'll try resetting it like this and see what happens. What do you think?
When you press the button LOCK in the remote once, it's suppose to lock all the doors. When you press it once again the horn beeps. Does anybody know how many times is the horn suppose to sound?

when u hit the lock button twice the horn is suppost to sound once...if a window is open, door or a light is on it will sound twice to let you no something is open or on
HAHAHAHAHAA!!! Ford hates you now! lol. Well, I get a weird two beep of the horn everytime I closed my doors from the remote. And my dome lights which are in the rearview mirror (because I have a Convertible) would never turn off. Sometimes it beeps once, sometimes twice. I don't know what might be causing the horn to beep twice or once however it wants to do it.
Door ajar is always on maybe? Dirty door sensors? I don't know but I don't have a light on the dash to show when the doors are open. soooo... would anybody please point me in the right direction?
