Default My mustang GT or a Mach 1 or Cobra

I have a 1995 5.0 mustang GT, 5 speed. This car is already the definition of speed to me but I recently had a want for something else. I want a mustang but little different, this is where the Mach 1 and cobra comes into play. I want to know if it is worth getting a 2003/04 Mach 1 or 2003/04 cobra or should I buy a newer Gt (possibly even a v6)? How much better is the Mach 1 and cobra? Is it worth the money?

03/04 cobra all the way if you want power. a simple pulley system, full exhuast and a decent tune and youre pushing 500hp.

All I can say is that my 89 GT convertible (same chassis as your 95) and 07 GT are completely different machines. V8 prices are down right now because of gas prices but I can say 1st hand 27 mpg is realistic if you can keep your foot out if it. I can't, and I drive about 40% city but still get 21. Might be cheaper than you think.

What are some key differences? Interior, exterior and performance wise?

After 2005 all 4.6 in the mustang were dohc 3-valve per cylinder motors which give you the same power as previous cobras. Also, the chassis and suspension received major upgrades. The S197 (2005-2013) is known for being a much better handling car and responding very well to suspension upgrades. That said, I think all mustangs are fun so you can't lose.

On paper they may be close, but in a real world drive there's no contest. The 03/04 cobra would walk all over a stock 3v. Also, unless your current 5.0 has some serious power adders under the hood you owe it to yourself to drive a terminator.

I have "walked all over" more than one Cobra. I'm not saying it wasn't really close, just that I certainly didn't lose.

theres a difference between "walking over" and close race. theres also a difference between a cobra and a termi. how do you know the cobra you "walked over" was a termi? a termi is way better than a 05-09 gt any day. and also new edge body are nicer too =p
