Default Help on the Fuel Pressure Regulator 1998 Mustang GT

I bought a BBK Adujustable Pressure Regulator for my 98 stang GT. I am hooking up the N2O, they told me i need to change the fuel pump to a 255 (already did), and the fuel regulator. But i cant find it, i heard that my car doesnt need it when installing the nos. I also hear that the 98 came with 3 different type of rails, 2 of the 3 have the regulator built in. So what do i do, can i change or i dont need to change it.

I would get some new custom fuel rails and bigger injectors. The stock rails suck for NoS. I don't think the stock regulator is really like the afterarket ones? I would have a shop give you some help if I were you.

You really really need to do some research before you make uninformed statements like this.

The 98 model year was a cross breed of a return style and returnless fuel systems. Look at your rails and see if there is one or two fuel connections on the passenger side.

What do you mean by that? What kind of connections and is the 98 a returnless system?

not true, there is ONLY 1 fuel rail for a 1998 but a 1998 has a fixxed FPR that you CANNOT change, you'll need a set of fuel rails from either a 1996 or 1997 Mustang and as stated above, 1998 has a ******* of a fuel system...who's fuel pump did you use as most aftermarket ones DO NOT work well on 1998's....it is recommended to use either an external T-Rex or the 03/04 Avaitor intank unit for your year
